Saige's Third Litter Update - Teddy! Sold 12/29/15
"Just thought we would send you a little update! Teddy (we call him Flynn because my daughter loves tangled) is doing great and growing so much already. He loves to be inside with us and cuddle up. He nibbles on you until you pet him and does little jumps all over the house!" Aw! What an adorable name! I love the way Flynn is developing! What a sweetie. Thank you for the update, Stephanie!
Saige's Third Litter Update - Leah! Sold 12/24/15
Leah was a surprise Christmas gift to three little girls - the family is a friend of our friends! They are loving sweet Leah and having so much fun with her!
Rosie's Second Litter Update - Cisco! Sold 6/26/15
I got this update recently from the family that adopted Cisco (some friends of ours!). "Cisco is doing great! he passed the first four days of adjusting over night! his personality is definitely extravert. we have him in the basement and have a dog gate around the cage so that he can get lots of exercise. (don’t worry. our dog Pippin cant get to him and he is very safe) He is very healthy and favors Owen and I.
I have noticed that the bunnies at the pet store are not nearly as healthy and well at adjusting than yours.
I find Cisco unbearably cute."

Rosie's Second Litter Update - Razzleberry! Sold 6/7/15
Jodie sent me these adorable pictures and updates just a few hours after bringing Razzleberry (previously Misty), home!
"She's loving her new home! Just lounging after eating some hay! She's such a good girl! The kids are having so much fun with her!"
Jodie sent me another update on 6/9! "Hi Holly! I just wanted to let you know how well Razzleberry also known as "fluffer nutter butter" is doing. She's the best pet ever! She's so sweet with the kids and has patience of a saint! She pees in her litterbox and poops half the time in the litter box and the rest of the time wherever she wants lol. When we take her out to play she holds it and then hops in her litter box once she's back in the cage. She's super snuggly and loves to cuddle. She likes to play tug-o-war with this Timothy hay twist we bought her and it cracks the kids up! When she's tired of playing, she hops off to her cave and rests haha. Thanks again!!!"

Gracie's Fourth Litter Update - Clover! Sold 3/7/15
Oz, from Gracie's fourth litter, has been renamed Clover! Isn't he handsome? His new mommy is so in love with him and they've been getting along great! He has such a lucky boy!
I received an update on Clover today on 1/3/16 when he's almost a year old! "I thought I'd give you an update on Clover (Oz/Willow) since he's nearly a year old. He's doing very well, fully litter box trained although a bit of a brat (enjoys eating books... >.<). He really likes to pester my old cat which is pretty cute to see! I love watching your new babies grow! Since he's in my bedroom he seems to be molting quite a bit - we have the heat on for him, so he looks pretty raggedy but I saw a picture of Gracie on your website and he looks quite a bit like her! He hates photos though... I had to bribe him with oats to get anything!"
Aw! Clover does look amazingly like his mama Gracie! How incredible!

Gracie's Fourth Litter Update - Aurora! Sold 3/1/15
Alice is absolutely in love with her new furbaby, Buffy, renamed Aurora (how gorgeous is that?!)! They get along so well already and they haven't even had each other for a week yet!
Alice sent me this update a few weeks ago: "She (Aurora), is getting so big and beautiful thank you again for my little princess! She stole my heart!"

Gracie's Fourth Litter Update - Ollie! Sold 3/1/15
Xander has been renamed Ollie! His family is in love with him and he gets along great with their kids!
Cinnamon's Second Litter Update - Banana! Sold 10/22/14
Katie sent me an update on Snickers today on 12/27! "Hey Holly! We just wanted to say thank you so much for our baby girl! In just the few days we've spent with her, she's brought so much joy and so many laughs to our home. When we have her out to play, she likes to just flop herself down in the middle of the floor like she owns the place. Anyway we just wanted to say thank you, and let you know how much we love her."
I received another update on 1/7/15! "Hey Holly! Wanted to update you a little more on Banana, formally known as Snickers. For the first week and a half we called her all sorts of names. (Mostly Bun Bun, which is still our pet name for her) Until one day, we called her Banana, and it stuck :) She's such a funny and smart little bunny. She has done so well with her litter box training, and is even pooping almost exclusively in her box! We're so excited because in all of our research we read that it takes longer for them learn that part. We love watching her zoom around our home, and binky like crazy, when she's feeling playful and happy! And whenever she grooms herself and washes her ears, we just stare in awe of her cuteness. This evening we took her with us to the waterfront to watch the sunset. It ended up being really foggy, but a sweet time with her none the less.
Well that's it for now. Thanks again for our sweet fuzzy girl. She's really something special!

Cinnamon's Second Litter Update - Buddy! Sold 10/23/14
Skittles (renamed Buddy), is having a blast in his new home! He's going to be a very spoiled boy! The Wilers surprised their kids with Buddy for Christmas. They are just in love with him.
"This guy is a big hit with everyone! He is so sweet and trusting. There are a few name possibilities being tossed around: Caramel, Cocoa, Bill.... But I think right now my son really likes the name Buddy for him, due to his super sweetness and for Buddy the Elf. I'm thrilled to see how much he already trusts us. We are all neatly wrapped around his adorable paw."

Gracie's Third Litter Update - Saphira! Sold 9/28/14
"Hey Holly! We are loving Saphira! She was so adorable last night. I brought her inside to hold her, and she hopped up on my chest and and started sniffing my nose...And then she started licking my face! Haha. She also perked up her ears toward the classical music that was playing...it seemed as if she listening! She is so adorable!"
My friends are LOVING their new bunny! I'm so happy for them. I love getting updates like this! Here's some pics they sent the first couple days of her being home!
Saphira is no longer with us, sadly she passed away after being attacked by a dog. RIP. PLEASE remember to keep your hutches securely guarded from predators!

Gracie's Third Litter Update - Elva! Sold 9/14/14
"She's (Elva) doing well. She is a lover and she loves to play. She is already binking around the house. We were going to rename her but we've been calling her Elva for so many weeks now it kind of stuck. My dog is very anxious to meet her but didn't want to scare the wee-one too much yet. Here is a picture of her in her new cage."
I love updates like this! Looks like Elva is having a blast with her family!

Gracie's Third Litter Update - Izzy and Noodle! Sold 9/14/14
These are Gracie's two fuzzies from her third litter, Arya and Katrina! Renamed Izzy and Noodle, respectively. Aren't they sweeties! Their family is absolutely in love with them! They had fun meeting the family's resident cats! Most people think that cats and rabbits could never get along, since cats are a rabbit's natural enemy. Actually, it's quite the opposite. If introduced slowly, and under direct supervision, cats and rabbits can get along great!
Arya and Katrina were given back to me in November because their owners could no longer give them the care they needed. So now these two sweet ladies are living with some friends of ours, as of Christmas eve 2015!

Cinnamon's First Litter Update - Blanca! Sold 7/13/14
I got my first update of Lavander on 8/11/14! "Lavender is doing great! She's getting big so fast! We renamed her Blanca. We love her so much."
Cinnamon's First Litter Update - Clinton and Cottontail! Sold 7/13/14
I got a fun update on these two a couple days after they were brought home!
Coriander was renamed Clinton and Paprika (the fluffy), was renamed Cottontail!
"Hi Holly. We love our babies. I made a homemade air conditioner with a damp towel attached to the cage and a fan on the outside. The frozen water bottle melts fast in this heat. I read it lasts longer with a towel around it. I also dampened their ears. They seem much happier. I am brushing them everyday. Russ and Oscar (my autistic son), have been feeding and cleaning."

Cinnamon's First Litter Update - Bay! Sold 7/13/14
I got an update on Bay on 7/27! "We've kept the name Bay. I have a few nick names for him like Bay Blade. I also call him, Bay Bay, which sounds like baby from one of my older daughter's favorite songs. My husband has called him, e-bay. Katelyn calls him Bay. He is getting lots of attention. Sometimes when she is holding him, I think Katelyn moves him in too many different positions, but he is a good sport. Today we brought him inside for the first time. He was very cautious."
Bay is going to be my first boarded bunny for a week the week of August 19-27. I'm really excited to see him again!
I got some new and adorable pics of him and his new owners on 8/18/14! Enjoy!
The week of August 19-27, Bay is being boarded here at Holly's Hollands Rabbit Sanctuary while his mama is out of town, and we are loving having him with us again! He's such a darling and just loves attention! The newer pics are of Bay at my Sanctuary.
Michelle, Bay's owner, wants to send out a reminder to make sure you research which fruits and veggies rabbits can and can't have. She fed Bay a chunk of watermelon a couple days ago, and a day later Bay was listless and sitting hunched in a corner. He barely drank and didn't eat. Michelle said he acted like he had a stomach ache. Rabbits aren't supposed to have fruits or veggies high in water content, that's why lettuce is a no-no. Luckily Bay recovered quickly and is doing great again.

Gracie's Second Litter Update - Mocha! Sold 3/30/14
I got a wonderful little update on Jingle the day his new family brought him home.
"The girls decided to name Jingle Mocha. He rode very nicely on their laps on the way home. He did seem a little stressed once we got home, so we have allowed him a lot of quiet time the evening. I will give you an update and send you a picture in a few days. I think you are doing really well with your Holland Lop business. You are clearly very knowledgeable and it's obvious how much you love your bunnies."
Mocha is living with his three new best friends. They just adore him!
I got an update on Mocha today, 7/3/14! "Hi Holly, I just wanted to send along this sweet picture of Mocha (Jingle). He is with his friend, Oreo the guinea pig, who belongs to my son's girlfriend. Mocha is mostly housebroken now and has such a sweet and social personality. i just wanted you to know how well he is doing."

Gracie's Second Litter Update - Ronald (Ronnie)! Sold 3/30/14
I got an update on little Ronnie the day after his new family brought him home!
"Good morning! Ronnie update....he seems to be doing really well. He was super excited to see the kids this morning. A little nervous when he heard them coming, but as soon as he saw it was them, he was right at the front for a good morning pet and breakfast. I am positive that it's mostly how he was raised."
That's amazing! Usually it takes a lot longer for our babies to settle into their new homes, but Ronnie is doing fantastic! They already have a cat that is his exact color! He has three new buddies that will love and cherish him forever. They might do 4-H with him as well!
They made the 6-hour round trip to pick up their baby, and love him so immensely! He can obviously feel it.
Yesterday, 5/12/14, Ronnie passed away. He was playing in his outside run and got spooked. He broke his leg running and jumping. His family tried everything. They splinted it, and tried to get an amputation, but he died during the surgery. He's in a better place now and very happy, bouncing and binkying over the rainbow bridge. We love you, Ronnie. We will all miss you forever.
Please visit this BLOG to see Ronnie remembered.
In October, 2014, Sweetpea (Cracker, below), now Sweetie, was purchased by this family! She will be so loved and spoiled and they are just in love with her!

Gracie's Second Litter Update - Basil and Gandalf! Sold 2/14/14
These two are just adorable! The Larsen family adopted two of Gracie's babies, little Basil (the fuzzy cream doe), and Gandalf (previously Buddy; the blue buck). They have been adjusting very quickly and happily since they have each other. From Mrs. Larsen: "The littles are adjusting to their new home quite well. I cannot get enough of them! I just sit next to them and watch them nibble thier hay and follow each other around. Most of the time they come straight over and hang out in whatever corner I'm closest to. I love bonding these two and seriously would be happy with a whole herd of adorable bunnies."
"Holly has been so helpful in answering all our questions. Her well-rounded and informative business doesn't stop the moment you pick up your bunny but continues long after. Don't buy a Holland Lop without considering Holly's Hollands!"

Gracie's First Litter Update - Effie! Sold 9/24/13!
I received an update on our little doe, Effie from Gracie's first litter! She is a little sweetheart and has 3 homes!! She'll have a home as an "office bunny" at the owner's work, an outside home, and an indoor home!! They are slowly introducing her to their resident pets, two cats and a dog. They have 4 "phases" that take the bonding of the animals slow and steady. Phase number 1 is smelling each other, but not having any access to each other. Phase 2 is being able to see and smell each other (one of their cats seems pretty interested in Effie below). Phase 2 is in process for several weeks before Phase 3, which is having the rabbit out of cage, with the cats and dog, seeing, smelling and touching each other, supervision during the whole procedure. I think everyone should introduce their rabbit to their resident pets this way. Rabbits are "prey animals to wild dogs and cats, and they can't integrate quickly into the family with another species. She's a spoiled, happy girl!
The newest photos were taken on 4/27/14. I will be visiting Effie soon and seeing how she's doing! She's a thriving, absolutely adored and cherished little girl!

Gracie's First & Second Litter Update - Graham and Cracker! Sold 9/23/13 and 3/4/14!!
Graham was previously Malchior and Cracker was Sweetpea (now Sweetie!). I received this update on our little broken blue tort buck from Gracie's first litter! Look at all that space he has to run! He'll be a happy, spoiled little boy! They decided to name him Graham "halfstache" Franklin! lol, how cute is that?!?!
I got another update on little Graham on 10/9/13! "He is doing great! He loves exploring the apartment, finds comfy places to lay - kicking his feet out behind him to relax. He loves running laps and hops around like a crazy little bunny! Potty training has gone really well! He's only peed twice outside his potty box, the first time being when he had no box in his house. He is very smart and uses the box for both pee and poop, although he still poops around his house. Honestly, though he rarely poops around the apartment, he has never peed outside his house! We have the BEST pet bunny we could have chosen! He even stands on his haunches when he wants to come out and play!!"
Holland Lops are super smart, easy to litter train and easy to train to do tricks!
I got another update on little Graham today on 3/3/14!! He's almost 8 months old now! How time flies! "Hey Holly! Just wanted to give you an update on Graham! He was neutered on Wednesday and he is recovering well! He's eager to get back to running around the apartment but is going to stay in his cage a little more to finish recovering. Also, I'm building a rabbit hutch for our home and will take pictures when I'm done. It's going to be big and awesome!!"
That's just amazing, I'm so excited and happy for him! :)
On 3/4/14 (lol), they came to pick up Graham's full sister from another litter! Since Graham got neutered, his owner wants to get him a girlfriend to keep him company! I am so excited for both of them :) Follow her new home updates here as well!
Today on 6/4/14, the family finally found out what they wanted to name their female bunny! Since her male bunny's name is Graham, Sweetpea is now known as Cracker! Aw, that's adorable!
Today, 6/27/14 - I was notified that Graham and Cracker would have to be placed in a new home, as the owner Rachel has to move and her new apartment doesn't allow pets. Because of that, she asked me to take them and help her find a wonderful, new home for them.
If you ever can't take care of your rabbits, PLEASE contact me so that I can take them back and aid you in finding a new home for them. I don't want my babies ending up in shelters!
8/5/14 I resold Graham (now Thor!!!), and he is being spoiled in a huge indoor playground just like before! What a lucky buck!
October 2014, Cracker found a new home with Ronnie's previous family (above). They love her so much and she will be very spoiled!

I love to get updates like this!! From something on Facebook, I got an update from my friends, who brought home little Caramel. "Got my daily dose of bunny luv today! Thought you'd like to see how our little Latte is doing, Holly. If anybody's ever interested in getting their own little fluff'n'love, be sure to check out Holly's Hollands Rabbitry! She does a great job breeding, raising and taking care of these little fluff balls!"
Just got this update as well on 10/9/2013 from the mother of the family -
"Hi Holly, Just wanted to let you know how much I'm loving Caramel Latte. It has been a dream of mine to have a sweet house trained bunny. We have enjoyed our other rabbits but they have never been house trained or over friendly. So I am super excited that Caramel is. We also built an indoor 4x4 run for her and every day we bring her in and let her play in it. We also put her on our lap and she is content to sit for a long time. You have done an amazing job raising these bunnies. Thank you so much for Caramel Latte. She brings me and the family so much joy." I got to see Caramel Latte again a few weeks ago! She's still so friendly, cuddly and adorable! She settled right in on my lap and almost fell asleep! She loves to give bunny kisses too! It was like a mother-daughter reunion! |
