Proper Handling of your Rabbit

DO pick up your rabbit with one hand under its front legs, supporting its rib cage in your hand

DO pick up your rabbit by supporting its butt/back legs with your dominant hand

DO pick up your rabbit with its head facing you

DO put a rabbit back in its cage butt-first. Rabbits can jump out of your arms into its cage and break its back

DON'T pick up your rabbit by the ears

DON'T pick up your rabbit by the scruff of its neck

After the rabbit has been picked up, put the baby bunny on your chest. It's much safer to carry/hold your baby this way then in your arms.

Proper pick up. ALWAYS support the rabbit's bum! Here I don't have my hand under its front paws since the baby is so small, but it's always recommended.
